Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Production Team Leader to oversee daily manufacturing operations and lead a dedicated team toward excellence. Responsibilities

General Objectives: To lead a team of operators in a given area and to take responsibility for production in that area. This responsibility includes quality and health and safety. The role is a hands-on role. The role will require the individual to be able to drive both a counterbalance and a reach truck. Training will be provided if required which the person must pass to be able to take up the position.

Main Duties:

• To deputise for the Shift Manager as and when required.
• To strive to meet or exceed the production plan in their area of responsibility.
• To work as a team with the other team leaders to support the Shift Manager.
• To strive to meet or exceed the set KPI targets in their area of responsibility.
• To ensure an effective handover is carried out. This will mean starting slightly early on the late shift and finishing slightly late on the day shift.
• To assist the Shift Manager in ensuring the site is closed as and when required.
• To coach, train and develop individuals in their team.
• Actively support continuous improvement systems.
• To attend training courses as required including off site training courses.
• To work an 8hr shift from Monday to Friday. The day shift will be 6am until 2pm and the late shift will be 2pm until 10pm, noting 5 above. The pattern will rotate every week.
• To ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed.
• To ensure that all quality systems are followed.
• The team leader will be expected to stand in place of operators within their area as needed.

The hours for this role are working a 2 shift rotation Monday to Friday as below :-

Week 1 – 6am-2pm

Week 2- 2pm-10pm
