Join forces with THH recruitment as we collaborate with a revered weaver in Dewsbury, eagerly seeking committed individuals to join their team. If your passion lies in traditional weaving, paired with a robust work ethic and exceptional time management skills, this role could be your ideal fit!

As a Trainee Weaver and Production Operative, your duties will encompass:

  • Training in the Cutting Area under the guidance of seasoned professionals.
  • Operating looms to craft carpets, involving shearing seams and placing them on stem drums.
  • Mastering the Weaver’s Knot to ensure impeccable carpet quality.
  • Handling three looms, conducting quality checks, and changing 64 bobbins within 15 minutes.
  • Contributing to product checks and mending to maintain the highest quality.
  • Adapting to various machinery and looms, including wider looms for expansive carpets.

We seek candidates with:

  • A keen interest in evolving into a full-time weaver.
  • An exceptional work attitude, driven by a desire to learn and develop skills.
  • Punctuality and strict adherence to safety regulations, including wearing mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE).

Working Hours

Shifts: 7 am – 3 pm AND 3 pm – 11 pm, with a weekly rotating schedule from Monday to Friday.

PPE Requirements

Safety shoes and ear defenders.

Mobile phones are allowed on site but not in work areas. Please ensure to adhere to this policy during your time on the premises.
